ABOUT THE BOOK In time for the centennial of America’s entry into the Great War, "World War I New York" is the first guidebook to the traces of the conflict in the region. Part I locates dozens of locations in the five boroughs of New York City—as well as on Long Island and in New Jersey—that played a part during World War I. Part II documents some of the beautiful and poignant memorials, monuments, and tributes that communities and bereaved family members erected in the year following the war. The book contains nearly 200 World War I locations and is fully illustrated with a dozen maps and 140 photos.BOOK & BOTTLE June 22: Camp Upton Centennial: WWI New York
