It is with great enthusiasm that we announce a joint venture between the Riverhead Anti Bias Task Force and the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce to launch the first annual FOOD UNITES!
\n \;\n\nIn order to bring the community together\, help drive business to local restaurants and celebrate the amazing diversity of food and cultures we are planning a week long Restaurant Week running Tuesday 9/23/24 through Sunday 9/29/24.
\n \;\n\nWe are asking any restaurants interested in participating to create \; a special menu for one day or the entire week that highlights a specific cuisine from different parts of the world. For example\; Italian\, Chinese\, Jamaican\, Mexican\, Irish etc.
\n \;\n\nWhile not necessary but certainly making it more fun we encourage you \; to have some form of entertainment in keeping with the theme of your menu. \;
\n \;\n\nThe Riverhead Chamber of Commerce applied for and received a grant from Suffolk County to pay for or subsidize the expense of entertainment and musical performances for participating Chamber members. We hope to spread the entertainment throughout the week to encourage repeat diners but it is ultimately up to you which night you choose and who you hire. \;
\n \;\n\nDue to the fact that we will be spending money to market this week long food festival we are asking for a refundable $100 in order to be included in the list of participating restaurants. At the conclusion after 9/29/24 all monies will be returned to participants.
