Blood Drive Peconic Bay Medical Center

In anticipation of the impending storm, “Fern”, New York Blood Center has been forced to cancel all blood collection operations on Sunday, January 25, including donor centers and community blood drives, to ensure the safety of our staff and our life-saving blood donors.  

This cancellation is expected to result in the loss of nearly 1,000 blood and platelet donations at a time when the region is already facing a blood emergency and critically low inventory levels.
Your blood drive is even more important as we need donors to come ahead of the storm, and immediately after and all throughout February to help offset this loss.  

Hospitals continue to rely on a stable blood supply, and donations made before the storm will directly help save lives in the days ahead.
